"In 2009, there were more than 5.5 million car accidents in the United States.
Nearly 31,000 were fatal, and more than 2 million people were injured."
Motorcycle Accidents

Motorcycle Accidents from 2009 to 2010 totaled over 8,000 fatalities. For some states like Washington State, Motorcycle
Insurance is not a mandatory requirement. Even in states where it is required most motorcycle riders purchase the minimum
amount required by law. You need to protect yourself in the event of an accident of this type.

Some of the most common and severe motorcycle accident injuries are head and neck injuries that can leave the victim
paralyzed or in a permanent vegetative state. 70% of all bike accidents involved collision with another vehicle.

Truck Accidents

Truck Accidents can be devastating. Trucks win because they weigh more than you do. Because of their size, weight, and the
amount of travel, large trucks play a significant role in both the occurrence and consequences of traffic crashes. Large trucks
account for about 3% of motor vehicles involved in police-reported crashes of all severities, about 8% of vehicles
in total fatal crashes, and are associated with about 12% of the annual total traffic fatality count. Large trucks are also
estimated to account for about 7% of the total number of vehicle miles traveled each year

Bicycle Accidents

Bicycle Accidents in numbers of reported injuries follow a fluctuating but downward trend, from 68,000 in 1993 to 41,000 in 2003,
only to rise again in 2005. Reported injuries in 2007 dropped again to 43,000 representing another decline, but rose to 52,000 in
2008. The number of reported injuries involving bicyclists dropped to 51,000 in 2009. However, we know from research into
hospital records that only a fraction of bicycle crashes causing injury are ever recorded by the police, possibly as low as 10%.
With 630 bicycle deaths per year, there is significant risk associated with riding a bicycle. Bicycle fatalities represent just fewer
than two percent of all traffic fatalities, and yet bicycle trips account for one percent of all trips in the United States. However,
bicycling remains a healthful, inherently safe activity for tens of millions of people every year.

Bus Accidents

Bus Accidents are on the rise as well as injuries and death related to these accidents. There are school buses, city transit buses
and tour buses that we seem to see more and more stories about on the evening news. All manner of injuries can result from
a school bus accident including: brain and spinal cord injuries, burns, sprains, fractures, abrasions, internal and soft tissue
injuries, and concussions.

Pedestrian Accidents

Pedestrian Accidents have a high potential for serious injuries. Pedestrian Accidents are a recurring problem throughout the
world. The United States has a particular problem with pedestrian deaths. About 5,000 pedestrians are killed and another
64,000 are injured in motor vehicle accidents every year in this country. A pedestrian is at risk from autos, buses, trains,
motorcycles and bicycles.

Construction Accidents

More than 7 million people work in the construction industry, or a total of about 6% of the nation's work force. One of every
work force. One of every five workplace fatalities is a construction worker.

A preliminary total of 4,547 work injuries were recorded in 2010. The rate of fatal work injury for U.S. workers in 2010 was
3.5 per 100,000 full time equivalent (FTE) workers, the same as in 2009.
